My World Cup Predictions

According to recent form, we can predict that the Final of 2019 World Cup will be played between Venomous England and Voracious India. ICC World Cup 2019 is the 12th edition of Cricket World Cup, hosted by England, from 30th May to 14th July 2019. The format of the tournament will be a single group of ten teams, with each team playing the other nine teams, and the top four teams reach the knockout stage.

Lets talk about the teams which are capable of making into the Semi Finals.

1. INDIA

ODI Team Ranking : 2

Best Batsmen with ODI rankings : Virat Kohli (#1), Rohit Sharma (#4), Shikhar Dhawan (#10).
Best Bowlers with ODI rankings : Bumrah (#1), Kuldeep Yadav (#7), Chahal (#8).

There is no doubt that India will enter the World Cup 2019 as one of the favourites. In the past, the strength of India used to be batting, but these days Indian bowlers are also efficacious, meticulous and incorrigible. In recent times, India has been in miraculous form. Recently India vanquished over South Africa in their backyard. As a Cricket fan you might be aware of what it takes to achieve this.  If you have stupendous and enigmatic players like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Bumrah, Bhuvi, then how couldn't you have the strongest team? Indian players are capable of ravaging any team on their day.

Weakness: Who will bat at no. 4? Will it be KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Dinesh Karthik or Vijay Shankar? This is a serious problem which India has been confronting for quite a while. This need to be solved before the World Cup. I hope Virat Kohli and co. will fix this repugnant problem ASAP.

2. England

Best Batsmen with ODI rankings : Joe Root (#6). Jos Buttler (#14)
Best Bowler with ODI rankings : Adil Rashid (#10), Chris Woakes (#16)

Some meticulous and monstrous England Batsmen have exploded as volcano in recent times. They also have bowlers, who can blow away any batting lineup on their day. Sufficient to say that, England are one of the of best sides any team would wish for. They have effervescent and venomous players like Jos Buttler, Jason Roy, Joe Root, Chris Woakes, Alex Hales and Eoin Morgan. Recently they conquered vicious Australia. As you know, it is not easy to beat Australia like they did. England will also have home advantage, they know the conditions better than anyone else. England are capable of slaughtering any team on their day.

Weakness: They don’t have any serious problem like India. But their bowling unit is not at zenith, this might be of a bit of concern for them. Their bowlers have to perform well, if they want to win the World Cup.

3. South Africa

ODI Team Ranking : 3
Best Batsmen with ODI rankings : Quinton de Kock (#4), Faf du plesis(#5).
Best Bowler with ODI rankings : Imran Tahir (#4), Rabada (#5)

Proteas have never won the World Cup, but this time they might. They are capable to blaze firmament like comet on their day. They have one of the most balanced sides with De Kock, Amla, Faf du Plesis, Kagiso Rabada and Imran Tahir. Their recent form has been quite outstanding. They will definitely miss their legend ABD.

Weakness: They might be the best side, but their players have been failed to show their magic in big tournaments. They need to drop their chokers tag and show the world what they are really capable of.

4. Pakistan

ODI Team Ranking : 5
Best Batsmen with ranking(ODI) : Babar Azam (#7)
Best Bowler with ranking(ODI) : Hasan Ali(#16)

They are the winners of Champions Trophy, where they beat India inexorably in the final. They are an unpredictable team as always. Babar Azam has been performing consistently and their players usually do well in bug tournaments.

Weakness : Except Babar Azam, there is no one who are able take responsibility and win a match for their team.

Why Australia is not there in list?

Yeah Australia is reigning Champion. Why they are not there in list? They recently lost to South Africa, England and Pakistan. They haven’t been playing cohesively in absence of Smith and Warner. Warner and Smith will be back in World cup, but its quite arduous to perform well straightaway. Starc, one of the best bowlers in recent times is also coming back from injury.

Semi Final #1: India vs Pakistan

Whenever India and Pakistan plays against each other, it is intriguing and heart-wrenching match. If you compare both the teams there is no doubt India is better team than Pakistan, but Pakistan can beat any team on their day.
In recent times, India have been performing way better than Pakistan. And historically Pakistan haven’t beaten India in World Cups.

Semi Final #2: England vs South Africa

Historically Proteas haven’t been able to perform well in knockouts, and England have advantage of home condition. So, I choose England over Proteas.

Final : India vs England.

It will be an enthralling match. Both team deserve to be World Champions. England will have golden opportunity to win World cup for the first time. We can’t choose one team over other. But as an Indian, I am going with India.

India will lift the World Cup trophy after 8 years.
